Canine Distemper (CDV)

Leptospirosis

Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection that is transmitted to dogs from exposure to the urine of infected rats.  All dogs who go outdoors should be given the first vaccine after 4 months of age followed by a booster one month later and annual boosters.

Feline Distemper

This highly contagious and potentially fatal viral disease affects a cat’s white blood cells, causing it to become more susceptible to infections. Cats should receive two to three doses of the vaccine between eight to 16 weeks of age, followed by a booster one year later. Cats then receive a booster every three years.

Feline Calicivirus and Herpesvirus

This contagious respiratory disease can cause sneezing, nasal discharge, oral ulcers, and fever in cats. Vaccination against feline calicivirus and herpes virus can prevent the spread of this virus and reduce the severity of symptoms. You should have your cat get this vaccine once it reaches six to eight weeks of age. Your cat will receive a dose every three to four weeks until it reaches 16 weeks of age. Boosters follow every three years.
